Industry first: HKC Huike announces new breakthrough in MicroLED

According to news on February 17, HKC Huike announced a breakthrough in the high-end display field and successfully completed the research and development of the world's first silicon-based GaN single-core integrated full-color Micro LED chip (hereinafter referred to as SiMiP) in the field of micro-pitch LED large-screen direct display.

This technology is based on joint research and development based on Lisian Semiconductor's SiMiP chip, which improves production efficiency and display effects. It claims to promote my country's micro-pitch LED large-screen direct display technology to the "global forefront".

According to the official introduction of HKC Huike, the SiMiP technology developed this time integrates red, green and blue primary color pixels through a single core, simplifying the production and repair process. This technology can "significantly improve the through-put yield of micro-pitch LED display module production and significantly reduce production costs."

This technology adopts a single-chip integration solution, which does not require complex mass transfer and repair processes, and avoids the use of toxic materials; in addition, the three primary color pixels of red, green and blue are highly consistent in luminous wavelength, operating voltage and light distribution, fundamentally solving the color shift problem of traditional solutions.

In recent years, Huike has continued to increase its efforts in Mini/Micro-LED technology research and development and production capacity construction, with a cumulative investment of over 10 billion yuan, building a complete ecological chain from technology research and development to large-scale production. This time SiMThe successful application of iP chip technology further consolidates Huike's technological leadership in the field of high-end displays.
